Make A Difference Day

This Saturday, October 13, is clean-up day at the West Ward community gardens and at the Easton Urban Farm. If you would like to lend a hand, or just stop by for a few minutes, we would love to see you.

Here is what’s going on at the gardens:

South 10th and Pine Street, between 9:30 and 4:00 p.m., we will be cleaning up raised beds, putting down new wood chips, clearing garden paths, fixing up and mulching flower beds,  and building new compost bins

 1426 Lynn Street , located off of Lehigh Drive, between  1:30 and 4:00 p.m. Volunteers will be cleaning up the garden paths and the flower beds and spreading mulch.  

South 5th Street near Ferry, If you like to paint, we have a picket fence for you! Volunteers at the South 5th Street garden will be whitewashing the picket fence, between 9:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Drop cloths and rags welcome, paint and painting supplies provided.

Easton Urban Farm,  located behind the Easton Area Neighborhood Center at 902 Philadelphia Road, between 9:30 and 4:00 p.m., Volunteers will be cleaning up the growing beds, spreading compost, and building new compost bins.
